A Rude Intrusion :: Day 68

This is my blog for day 68 of cancer treatment and recovery, Saturday, 16 Sep 2017.

No doctor appointments today. In fact, I have none until the end of the month.

Got up early and finished going though all of the medical insurance Explanation-of-Benefit statements and paying whatever bills might need to be paid. Now we have neither EOBs to file nor bills to pay. I continued to work on paperwork on-and-off during the day.

I ate all three meals by mouth today, with Nancy and me getting Chinese take-out for dinner. The chicken chop suey was bland, but the vegetable fried rice was good! Now I guess it's on to try other foods and continue to let my throat heal. But good progress is being made.

Hey Luke - nice win by Iowa yesterday. They came back in the second half and dominated the North Texas "Mean Green", a team they should have beaten, but one that played tough. Cubs won, too!

Am going to make a sharp right on today's YouTube music: Atmospheres, a classical piece by Gyorgy Ligeti - Link. I heard this played by the Chicago Symphony years ago, and the music certainly left a lasting impression on me.I especially like the brushes on the piano strings (at the end)!
