Good morning, Lord!
Thank you for keeping us safe and sound last night. Thank you for the food we will eat this day. Thank you for friends and relatives, near and far, especially those from church, from my high school, and all my cousins.
Today is supposed to have beautiful weather, with a high of 60, and clear skies. A beautiful Fall day. I pray that I enjoy the weather as much as I should, as you have given us, here in Chicagoland, a full four seasons to enjoy.
I pray for those still recovering from the hurricanes, especially those in North Carolina who were so badly impacted. I pray they get the help they need, both from government and from volunteer organizations.
Thank you for the time Nancy and I had with our grandchildren in Lockport. They are cute, cuddly, and oft times cantankerous. They are little humans, learning how to be big humans. I pray they will grow up in the knowledge of You.
Heal those who need healing, I ask, and support those who are suffering with the knowledge that You are there to help them.
I ask that you make me the new creation that You want me to be, guiding me through life, until I may see the gates of Heaven.
In Jesus' name I pray.
Amen.
