Time to Get Serious About Losing weight

You read the title; I don't need to repeat it. At fifty-one years of age it’s time to get down to the weight my doctor proposed for me: 235 lbs. I’ve already joined Weight Watchers, but haven’t been really been “into” (apologies to the Quotation Police) losing weight, haven’t really been serious, until today.

So, what’s on the menu?

Breakfast
10 oz. OJ
1 ½ c. oatmeal, with brown sugar (2 rounded tsp) and a pat of butter
water
1 small Gala apple

Do I need to cut down the brown sugar? Yes, I suppose so. But oatmeal is only palatable when sugar and milk/butter are added. I’ll figure the WW (Weight Watchers) points out a little later, and update this as the day progresses.

Yes, I also know I need to exercise!

Lunch
mixed greens (salad)
sprinkling of shredded cheese
sprinkling of sunflower seeds
carrot sticks
1 hardboiled egg
1/2 c. cottage cheese
1/2 c. red kidney beans
4 Snackwell sandwich cookies
